Palma Violets announce debut album release

music palma violets 1Palma Violets have confirmed their eagerly awaited debut album will be released through Rough Trade earlier next year.

The record, at the moment untitled, is due for release on February 25th 2013, and arrives after a series of impressive single releases and busy touring during the past few months.

Speaking recently to NME, Palma Violets bass player Chilli Jesson has said the band hope to give fans something to believe in with their first LP, an emotion they feel is lacking in the current music scene.

“We suddenly realised that the majority of the bands we saw, well, you couldn’t fucking believe in them,” he said. “You couldn’t feel anything from them. When I got to a gig, I want feeling, so from that moment we decided we wanted to go in and fucking write some songs that people could fucking feel.”

Palma Violets will be back out on the road in the UK immediately prior to the album’s release when they take part in the NME Awards tour along side the likes of Django Django and Miles Kane.
