Morrissey was the special live guest of Jimmy Fallon last night (October 3rd) as the former Smiths icon prepares to begin a lengthy tour of the US this month.
Morrissey performed his 2006 single ‘You Have Killed Me‘ – the video of which can be viewed below – along side a cover of Frankie Valli’s ‘To Give (The Reason I Live)‘ ahead of the 33-city tour’s opening on October 5th at the Wang Theatre in Boston.
The tour includes a spot at the Staples Center in Los Angeles with Iggy and The Stooges on November 24th, and will take in his first New York City performance in three years at the Radio City Music Hall on October 10th. The trek is due to end in Atlantic City on December 8th.
Morrissey’s performance comes shortly after he released an emphatic denial of the recent round of rumours which suggested The Smiths have agreed to reform next year, with a spokesperson commenting that the band are, “…never, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever going to reunite.”
