Video: Alt-J perform ‘Breezeblocks’ for Later…with Jools Holland

Alt-J brought their Mercury nominated debut album ‘An Awesome Wave‘ to Later…with Jools Holland last night (October 23rd) for a live rendition of ‘Breezeblocks‘ which can be viewed below.

The latest edition of the long-running series also featured the likes of Dionne Warwick and Bloc Party, while an extended version will screened on the BBC this coming Friday.

Alt-J remain strong favourites at most bookmakers to take home this year’s Mercury Music Prize, with Richard Hawley, Django Django and Plan B just some of the other front-runners for the prestigious award which will be handed out at a London ceremony early next month.

Meanwhile, the band’s hectic period of touring shows no signs of relenting, with their own headline UK dates this month set to be followed by a spot supporting Two Door Cinema Club in November.

Further headline UK gigs have also been confirmed for May next year, while a trip to North America will begin in San Francisco on December 11th.
