Titus Andronicus preview new album ‘Local Business’ online

titusandronicssqTitus Andronicus are allowing fans to sample their new album ‘Local Business‘ online via NPR.org ahead of its official release later this month.

The band’s third record is due for release on October 22nd through XL Recordings and features contributions from the guest musicians Owen Pallett, Steven Harm and Elio DeLuca. It is also the first release from the New Jersey group since bassist Ian Graetzer and guitarist Amy Klein became the latest in a long line of past Titus members after confirming their respective departures last year.

‘Local Business’ is the follow-up 2010′s wonderfully ambitious, expansive album ‘The Monitor‘, whose grandiose, progressive themes centred around the bloody turmoil of the American Civil War – something of a dramatic change in sound when compared with the 2008 debut ‘The Airing of Grievances‘ – saw it subsequently feature prominently in Live4ever’s Essential Listening retrospective of that particular year along side the likes of Arcade Fire, the Jim Jones Revue and The Walkmen.
