The Stone Roses have announced their first UK shows for 2013 as the reunion plans continue into next year.

Having already confirmed gigs in Australia as part of the Future Music Festival when they will play Brisbane’s Doomben Racecourse on March 2nd before visits to Perth, Sydney, Melbourne and Adelaide, the group have now unveiled two concerts at London’s Finsbury Park on June 7th and 8th, followed by a one night stay at the Glasgow Green on June 15th.

Support will be provided in Scotland by Primal Scream, Jake Bugg and The View, while the London back-up will be announced shortly. Tickets for all three shows go on sale at 9.30am on Friday November 2nd.

The Stone Roses are widely expected to release a new album next year after a hugely successful European reunion during the course of 2012, during which time their three-night stop at Manchester’s Heaton Park became the fastest selling gigs in the UK of all time.

A Shane Meadows-directed film chronicling the Manchester legends’ reformation is expected to hit UK cinemas in early 2013.
