Muse, Blur triumph at 2012 Q Awards

Muse and Blur were among the big winners at today’s (October 22nd) Q Awards ceremony, while Bobby Womack went home with the Best Album prize for his excellent ‘Bravest Man In The Universe‘ record.

Muse were crowned as the Best Act In The World Today ahead of Coldplay, Lady Gaga, The Stone Roses and Blur, while Blur picked up the Best Live gong, beating fellow nominees The Cribs, Radiohead, Bruce Springsteen and The Stone Roses in the process.




“It’s been the most incredible year for British music. Our bands and our anthems transformed the Olympics into the greatest music event on earth,” Q editor Andrew Harrison said when the shortlist was unveiled last month.
