Bloc Party and The Courteeners are among the acts confirmed for this year’s annual XFM Winter Wonderland gig in London.
The fundraising night will be held at the Brixton Academy on December 17th, with The Temper Trap, Lucy Rose and Theme Park also on the bill joined by Editors, whose frontman Tom Smith has said:
“It is our pleasure to be part of Xfm’s Christmas do this year. To help this wonderful station celebrate will be a lot of fun.”
“The night is made all the more worthwhile for us by being in aid of War Child, a longstanding charity which continues to do amazing work and has continued to work hand in hand with bands and musicians we love. The original Help album sits proudly on my shelf still.”
A similar gig will be staged at the Manchester Apollo on December 4th, with Spector, Findlay, Everything Everything, Maximo Park and Delphic due for performances there.
