The xx will take their number one album ‘Coexist‘ out on a short tour of the UK later this year.

Opening up at the Brighton Dome on December 6th, the London band will then move on to Newcastle, Wolverhampton and Bristol before returning to their hometown for a final gig on December 16th at the Brixton Academy.

‘Coexist’ outsold both Bob Dylan and The Script on its way to the top of the UK Album Chart last week, shifting a respectable 58,000 copies in the process according to Music Week.

The group’s second LP has also hit the top spot on the UK’s Record Store Chart, which is compiled from sales registered at independent record shops up and down Britain. Again, Bob Dylan was just behind – this time in second place – with Toy‘s self-titled debut another spot back at #3.

Tour dates:

DECEMBER
Brighton Dome (6)
O2 Academy Newcastle (11)
Wolverhampton Civic Hall (12)
Bristol Colston Hall (14)
O2 Academy Brixton (16)
