According to reports, Williams passed away at his home in Branson, Missouri on Tuesday evening (September 25th) after succumbing to the bladder cancer he was first diagnosed with in November 2011.

A career packed with classic pop singles included an Oscar winning performance of ‘Moon River‘ which featured in the 1961 movie Breakfast At Tiffany’s, while his Andy Williams Show, which began in 1962, was the winner of three Emmys during its run in the States.

Many hits followed throughout the 1970s, while a new period of success was enjoyed by Williams when the track ‘Music To Watch Girls Go By‘ hit the Top 10 in the UK in 1999 after featuring prominently in a television advert at the time.
