Paul McCartney, Bono are ‘world’s richest lead singers’

Sir Paul McCartney has been named as the richest lead singer in the world by wealth calculator website CelebrityNetWorth.

According to the website McCartney, who generally shared lead duties with John Lennon in The Beatles and went on to front his next band Wings, has amassed £497m during his long career, with U2 frontman Bono in second place thanks to a personal fortune of £372m.




The same website published a similar list last month revealing the world’s richest drummers, which had Sir Paul’s former Beatles bandmate Ringo Starr in first place.
