Led Zeppelin confirm DVD release of 2007 reunion gig

The worst kept secret in rock has been officially confirmed today (September 13th).

Led Zeppelin will issue a live DVD of their 2007 reunion gig in London on November 19th, with the announcement following a series of teasers being released through Facebook this week.




Entitled ‘Celebration Day‘, the DVD captures a performance from the rock legends which proved to be both memorable and emotional for various reasons; the show marked Robert Plant, Jimmy Page and John Paul Jones‘ first appearance onstage together for over 27 years, when they were joined by Jason Bonham – the son of their late drummer John.

And the concert itself, which took place in December 2007 at London’s O2 Arena, had been arranged in memory of the late Atlantic Records founder Ahmet Ertegun, who had died not long after a tragic accident a year earlier.

The concert will be screened in cinemas from October 17th, with special premieres preceding that general release on September 13th.
