The Stone Roses brought the Staffordshire leg of this year’s V Festival to a close last night (August 19th) with another crowd pleasing, career-spanning set.

The V performance marked The Stone Roses’ penultimate gig of their summer reunion tour, and followed the familiar pattern of recent well-received headline and festival appearances. However, The Sun newspaper reports this particular outing as having some problems, with ‘Love Spreads‘ being aborted three times before the Manchester band eventually got it right, while frontman Ian Brown is said to have had a pint of beer thrown at him from the audience early on.

The Stone Roses will now play the final concert of their reunion tour at Belfast’s Vital Festival this Wednesday (August 22nd), and are then widely expected to turn their attentions to recording a brand new album.

The Stone Roses setlist:

‘I Wanna Be Adored’
‘Mersey Paradise’
‘(Song For My) Sugar Spun Sister’
‘Sally Cinnamon’
‘Ten Storey Love Song’
‘Where Angels Play’
‘Shoot You Down’
‘Fools’ Gold’
‘Something’s Burning’
‘Waterfall’
‘Don’t Stop’
‘Love Spreads’
‘Made Of Stone’
‘This Is The One’
‘She Bangs The Drums’
‘Elizabeth My Dear’
‘I Am The Resurrection’
