David Byrne & St. Vincent announce new album ‘Love This Giant’

Former Talking Heads frontman David Byrne has teamed up with the acclaimed American multi-instrumentalist St. Vincent – aka Annie Erin Clark – for a new collaborative album which will be released later this year.

The first track released from the LP, ‘Who‘, can be heard below via YouTube and is available to download for free at lovethisgiant.com.

Morrissey: Reports of retirement are ‘wishful thinking’

Morrissey has denied he is planning to retire by 2014 after comments made in a recent interview with JuiceOnline seemed to suggest he is ready to walk away from music within two years.

In the late 80′s, somewhere on the east side of the Berlin Wall, a young girl was developing a love for the world of performing arts, particularly ballet and opera.

When the wall eventually fell, that same girl was drawn to the Western pop music that, before then, was mostly out of earshot for East Germans.

I Am Harlequin, the brainchild of now London based songstress Anna Freier, will appeal to fans of all things sophisticated and left-of-centre but also, importantly, to anyone with a soft spot for big songs backed by an even bigger voice.

The Beach Boys break Beatles’ Billboard record with new album

The Beach Boys have broken The Beatles‘ record for the longest span of top 10 albums in the history of the US Billboard 200 chart after their comeback album ‘That’s Why God Made The Radio‘ entered at #3 this week.
