The Killers reveal new album title

killersThe Killers have revealed the title for their upcoming fourth studio album.

After a fairly lengthy hiatus following the completion of promotional duties for their 2009 record ‘Day & Age‘, The Killers are expected to release a new album later this year, and have now disclosed the title will be ‘Battle Born‘. “In a sense, all Americans are battle born,” frontman Brandon Flowers told Rolling Stone. “Our ancestors came here for something better.”

“It’s living up to its title,” drummer Ronnie Vanucci added. “This is our difficult fourth record.” Battle Born is also a nickname for the band’s home-state Nevada, and is the title given to The Killers’ studio.

Song titles already confirmed for the hotly-anticipated record include ‘Heart Of a Girl‘, ‘Flesh and Bone‘, ‘Carry Me Home‘ and ‘Runaways‘. The Killers are reported to have worked with a number of producers during the recording sessions, including Steve Lillywhite and Madonna cohort Stuart Price.
