Chart star Lana Del Rey has covered Kasabian‘s recent single ‘Goodbye Kiss‘ as part of BBC Radio 1’s Live Lounge series, which can be listened to below.
The singer revealed she had picked the track in order to repay the favour to Kasabian after the Leicester band previously covered her breakthrough single ‘Video Games‘ when they appeared on the programme.
“I really loved it when they covered ‘Video Games’, I thought that was great,” she told Radio 1 DJ Fearne Cotton. “All of my boyfriends had loved Kasabian and I’d never listened to them. I started and I really like this song. I love this song and I love the melody, I love the way the boys sing it.”
Lana Del Rey will appear at this year’s Isle Of Wight festival in June, and is also set to appear at the Latitude festival over the weekend of July 12th-15th. Kasabian, in turn, will headline the 2012 T In The Park festival when it is held in Balado Park, Kinros between July 6th-8th.
