The Who’s Roger Daltrey to record with Paul Weller?

rogerdaltreyThe Who‘s Roger Daltrey has said there is a possibility of him working with Paul Weller at some stage in the future after the pair discussed a potential hook-up recently.

“Paul Weller’s been talking about an idea that he’s been working on, which I’d love him to do,” he told NME. “I’ve been very bad at finding material and he’s got this idea and he’s always said to me, ‘Why don’t you sing more?’ and I always say, ‘Find me some material’. So we’ll see if we can come up with something.”

Daltrey also spoke of The Who’s future, and appeared to hint the five-year long break since the band’s last bout of major touring is unlikely to end anytime soon. “It’s five years on since we last toured heavily, it’s only just over a year since we last played together,” he continued.

“Equally, I’m not the same as I was five years ago, things need to move on and change and you need to reinvent things. It all depends on whether it feels right.”
