Jack White has promised to carry on providing fans with a journey down memory lane after unveiling a setlist packed with songs from the various branches of his career so far on his first solo dates.
Speaking to XFM, White told the station he wants to ‘be able to play anything he’s ever written’ as he embarks on a new solo career, and will do so with both an all-male and all-female backing band.
“I want these songs to be alive I want to be able to play anything that I’ve ever written so I thought it will be interesting to have two different bands,” he told the station. “And then I thought wouldn’t it be great to have one all female band and one all male band – and see what happens.”
Jack White’s debut solo album, ‘Blunderbuss‘, is due for release next month. “I just let the songs be the boss, I had no intention of making a solo album,” he told XFM of the record. “I wouldn’t be so foolish as to pre-meditate that.”
