Paul McCartney has quite a few things going for him at the moment. He just entered the UK album charts at the number 3 position and got his own shiny star on Hollywood’s Walk of Fame which was followed by a live performance of Kisses on the Bottom at Capitol Studios. Riding the current wave of headlines Sir Macca made his way over to the MusiCares gala event on Friday night to receive the 2012 MusiCares Person of the Year award.
McCartney thrilled the celebrity packed audience with a few of his own songs and Beatles tracks which was followed by rock and pop stars galore taking the stage to serenade the star with some of his own classics. Coldplay performed ” We Can Work it Out ” while pop princess Katy Perry sang “Hey Jude” and rock icon Neil Young took the stage with his mates Crazy Horse playing “I Saw You Standing There”
