Former Guns n Roses guitarist Slash has confirmed the details of his second solo studio album.
To be entitled ‘Apocalyptic Love‘, the record is the follow up to the 2010 self-titled debut, and is due for release on May 21st through Slash’s own DikHayd International label. Alter Bridge frontman Myles Kennedy will provide vocals on the album, after the singer had previously guested on ‘Back From Cali‘ and ‘Starlight‘ from Slash’s first record and also toured with the iconic guitarist.
2012 is shaping up to be another busy year for Slash, who along with his solo commitments will also be meeting up with his former Guns n Roses bandmates in Cleveland in April when the band is inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall Of Fame. The possibility of a live performance from the ‘classic’ line-up has not yet been ruled out.
In addition, it was confirmed last Friday (February 18th) that Slash will be a part of the newly-announced ‘Ozzy And Friends’ European tour, which has been swiftly arranged by Ozzy Osbourne after a large chunk of Black Sabbath‘s reunion dates were cancelled as guitarist Tony Iommi continues treatment for cancer.
