The Reading/Leeds festival will announce its 2012 line-up next month, organisers have confirmed.

This year’s leg of Reading/Leeds is arguably the premier event in the busy UK summer festival season with Glastonbury due to take a break, and the highly anticipated line-up, headliners and all, will be unveiled to the world on March 12th.

At present, respected website e-festivals has Foo Fighters and Kasabian as near certainties to perform this year, while the likes of Green Day, Kaiser Chiefs and The Cure are also strongly rumoured to be included on the line-up.

Last year, Reading/Leeds was headlined by My Chemical Romance, The Strokes and Muse, while Pulp switched places with The Strokes in Leeds to top the bill in their home county.

Tickets for the 2012 Reading/Leeds festival are due to go onsale from 7.15pm on the day of the line-up’s announcement. The twin festivals will be held con-currently over the weekend of August 24th-26th.
