Paul Weller would like to work with Miles Kane

paulweller2Paul Weller has said he would like to work with Miles Kane at some point in the future, after apparently being impressed with the Liverpool songwriter’s burgeoning solo career.

Kane has enjoyed a successful year since the release of his debut solo record ‘Colour Of The Trap‘, and it seems the name of Paul Weller can be added to his growing list of admirers. “I’d like to do something with young Miles Kane,” Weller told NME. “I think he’s a talented lad and we could do something good together.”

As he prepares to release his latest solo album ‘Sonik Kicks‘ next month, Weller also described how his songwriting process has barely changed during the course of his long and varied career.

“I don’t think it’s changed, I don’t think it’s ever been any different, it’s still kind quite ad hoc,” he said. “Sometimes I’ll sit down and play a song straight off and sometimes I’ll just have fragements of ideas which take time to process. I don’t think it’s changed too much.”
