‘No politics’ on new Reverend & The Makers album

reverendandthemakersReverend & The Makers mainman Jon McClure has said he is cutting back on the politics on their forthcoming third record for fear of getting ‘boring’.

“There’s no politics on the album,” McClure has said. “Why not? Well as much as I’m into all that and I still believe much the same, I’ve said it now and it quickly becomes boring if you labor the point too much. In truth I sort of bored myself with it. I’ve taken down the Che Guevara poster for this album; you may or may not be glad to know.”

In addition the Sheffield band, who will provide the principal support on Noel Gallagher‘s imminent UK arena tour, will play four of their own headline dates throughout the UK in May. Beginning on May 4th at the Glasgow Oran Mor, McClure and co. will then move on to the Manchester Academy (8th), London Scala (10th) and the Sheffield Leadmill (11th).
