Morrissey’s debut solo album to be re-released

morrisseyMorrissey‘s debut solo album ‘Viva Hate‘ will be re-released next month in a new remastered form.

The record will be available from March 23rd, and has been remastered by respected producer Stephen Street, while rare photographs hand-picked by Morrissey will make up the sleeve and booklet.

Original album track ‘The Ordinary Boys‘ has been replaced by
Treat Me Like A Human Being’ on the new edition, and a special written introduction from Chrissie Hynde will also be included. The LP will be released on CD and vinyl formats.

‘Viva Hate’ was first released back in March 1988, just a short time after the departure of Johnny Marr had marked the end of The Smiths.

Meanwhile, Morrissey is to release a limited edition 10″ picture disc of the album’s single ‘Suedehead’ as part of Record Store Day on April 23rd. The track has been remixed by Sparks, and will be backed with live takes of ‘We’ll Let You Know’ and ‘Now My Heart Is Full’.
