The new Reverend & The Makers album is ’90% done’ according to the band’s mainman John McClure.

McClure broke the news on Twitter, and in doing so also opened up the possibility of the group releasing a double album as the follow up to their 2009 effort ‘A French Kiss In The Chaos‘.

“I’m comin back to the uk tomorrow! I’m gonna get right the fuck involved. albums 90% done ! Very very exciting,” he wrote. “I will make an announcement next week on what’s what re the new reverend and the makers album(s) x.”

Reverend & The Makers, along with many other British guitar bands at that time, enjoyed some significant commercial success back in 2007 with the release of their debut record ‘The State Of Things‘. Led by the top ten single and indie dance-floor filler ‘Heavyweight Champion Of The World‘, the LP peaked at #5 on the UK Album Chart upon its release in the September of 2007.
