Radiohead, Noel Gallagher have 2011’s biggest selling vinyl albums


radiohead1Radiohead‘s eighth studio record ‘The King Of Limbs‘ has been confirmed as the biggest selling album on vinyl format in the UK last year.

Back in October, figures were released which showed a 40% boost in vinyl sales during 2011 when compared to 2010, with Radiohead also on top at that time ahead of Adele‘s ‘21‘.




Since then, Noel Gallagher‘s solo debut ‘Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds‘ has moved into second place, pushing Adele down to no.3, while PJ Harvey‘s much-praised ‘Let England Shake‘ is at number 4.

Beady Eye have the two top selling vinyl singles in the UK of the past twelve months, with their debut single proper ‘The Roller‘ in first place and second promo ‘Millionaire‘ at no.2. They also have the fourth highest selling vinyl single of 2011 thanks to ‘The Beat Goes On‘.
