Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds have been confirmed as specials guests for one of the Red Hot Chili Peppers‘ forthcoming UK & Ireland stadium dates.
Gallagher and his High Flying Birds will support the Chili Peppers at their Croke Park date in Dublin on 26th June 2012. The Dublin gig is set to be preceded with shows at Knebworth Park on June 23rd, and Sunderland’s Stadium Of Light on June 24th.
The performance in Ireland will be Noel Gallagher’s first venture back into the world of stadium rock since his departure from Oasis in August 2009. Following the release of the self-titled debut solo album last October, Gallagher has already progressed to UK arenas, with a tour of venues such as the MEN Arena and Liverpool Echo Arena due to begin next February.
He also recently confirmed his maiden festival appearance as a solo artist, and will play immediately before Bruce Springsteen at the 2012 Isle Of Wight festival on Sunday, June 24th.
