Jason Bonham: ‘Never say never’ on chance of more Led Zeppelin gigs

ledzeppelinJason Bonham, son of the late, great Led Zeppelin drummer John Bonham, has not ruled out another reunion with his father’s former bandmates at some stage in the future.

Jason was behind the drum-kit for Led Zeppelin’s glorious 2007 reunion show when Robert Plant, Jimmy Page and John Paul Jones appeared at London’s O2 Arena in honour of Ahmet Ertegün.

Despite the obvious success of that show, the surviving members of Led Zeppelin have so far distanced themselves from any further comeback gigs, but Jason Bonham has told fans the chance for more concerts is still there.

“I haven’t spoken to Robert for about six months but he is really enjoying himself,” he is quoted as saying in The Sun newspaper. “For me you can never say never. If you ask me today is it going to happen immediately, well no, there is no talk of it. But if you said to me in 2007 I would play with Led Zeppelin in December that year I would say you’re nuts, so you never know.”

For now, Jason Bonham counts himself as a member of the rock ensemble Black Country Communion, who released their second album ‘2‘ earlier this year.
