The Killers have marked their stirring from a short hiatus with the announcement of a new Christmas single to be released tomorrow (December 1st).
‘The Cowboy’s Christmas Ball‘ is the fifth festive single released by the Las Vegas band, and will be issued to coincide with World Aids Day, with all proceeds from sales going towards (RED) – a campaign which helps fight HIV/AIDS in Africa.
The new track will be available as part of an EP which will comprise their other four previous Christmas releases.
After taking a break following the completion of promotional duties for their 2008 album ‘Day & Age‘, both frontman Brandon Flowers and drummer Ronnie Vanucci launched their own solo projects. However, the band have now reconvened in the studio and are working on a fourth Killers album.
In addition, the four-piece are widely expected to play a prominent role in next summer’s UK festival season, with headline spots thought to be on the agenda.
