Beady Eye frontman Liam Gallagher has said he is pleased with the positive reaction his estranged brother and former Oasis bandmate Noel Gallagher‘s debut solo album has enjoyed, but has also claimed the record has ‘no attitude’.

“It’s all right,” he told the Daily Telegraph. “I’m glad that people like it, man. He’s got good songs. No balls, though. No attitude. Everyone knows what Noel Gallagher can do, and it’s great, but it’s boring.”

While, with a slight lack of self-awareness, he also declared that he has “heard it all before.”

With the varying degrees of success being experienced by the Gallagher siblings seemingly constantly under scrutiny, Liam was again asked about his thoughts on ‘Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds‘ going straight in at number one on the UK Charts, as compared to Beady Eye’s own debut which landed at #3.

“Being Number One is not all it’s cracked up to be,” he insisted. “‘The Birdy Song’ was Number One. I’d much rather be Number Three. You’ve got somewhere to go then.”

Beady Eye are currently on a tour of the UK, and Liam Gallagher has this week told BBC Radio 1 DJ Zane Lowe the band are unlikely to be seen live throughout the entire course of 2012 as their focus shifts to the writing and recording of a second LP.
