Kasabian Disappointed At Glastonbury’s 2012 Break

kasabian2Kasabian guitarist Serge Pizzorno has admitted he is disappointed the band will not get the chance to headline Glastonbury next year as the festival takes a break in 2012.

When speaking to BBC 6Music, in which he also said the Leicester group are ‘built’ for festivals, Pizzorno declared it a ‘shame’ that Glastonbury will not be held next year when asked which festival he would most like to headline.

“I suppose Glastonbury,” he replied. “I don’t think it’s on next year which is a shame but there’s always something quite special about that place.”

“We’ve had a lot of huge moments along the way. When we played ‘Fire‘ there in 2009 and then the first time we played it we were first on and it was packed. It’s always shown us that people are liking what we are doing and are listening.”

Kasabian will see in 2012 with a special one-off gig at the London O2 Arena on New Year’s Eve, with support coming from Chase & Status and DJ Zane Lowe.
