Isle Of Wight festival organiser John Giddings has said he has made offers to two other US acts to join the already confirmed Bruce Springsteen at next year’s event.

Speaking to eFestivals, Giddings said he is aiming for an ‘American Trilogy’ as he looks to finalise plans for 2012, adding fuel to the rumours that Madonna could be set to make her UK live return at the festival.

“Well I’ve made offers to them, so let’s not tempt fate, but I’m aiming for the ‘American Trilogy’,” Giddings said. “What that means is that in the ‘Big Top’ I’m going to have more dance and urban acts than I’ve ever had before.”

Despite refusing to name which artists he has made offers to, Giddings did confirm that the Red Hot Chili Peppers and Aerosmith will not be appearing at Isle Of Wight next year.

Last summer Kings Of Leon, Kasabian and Foo Fighters comprised one of the UK festival season’s standout headline trios at Isle Of Wight.
