Coldplay, Adele Set For Another Week In UK Top Ten

Christmas shopping looks likely to have a big say on the UK Album Chart when the official rundown is announced this coming Sunday, with MOR favourites such as Michael Buble, Olly Murs, Il Divo and Westlife dominating the midweek top 10.

Coldplay‘s latest album ‘Mylo Xyloto‘ is on course for another week in the top 10, standing at the moment at #8, just ahead of Adele‘s big-selling ‘21‘.

Radiohead Confirm First Festival Gig Of 2012

Radiohead have confirmed their first outdoor appearance of 2012 as they gear up for a busier year of touring following the release of ‘The Kings Of Limbs‘ last February.

For most of 2011, the band had limited the promotional duties for their eighth studio album to just one ‘secret’ performance at last summer’s Glastonbury festival, but confirmed recently they plan to tour the album more extensively over the next 12 months after a strong response to the Worthy Farm appearance.

The Maccabees Extend Winter UK Tour

The Maccabees have extended their early 2012 UK tour as they prepare for the release of third studio album ‘Given To The Wild‘.

In addition to previously announced dates in Glasgow, Newcastle, London, Birmingham and Manchester, The Maccabees will now open the tour on January 21st at the Sheffield Leadmill.

Bob Dylan, Bruce Springsteen Producer Don DeVito Dies

Don DeVito, the producer who manned the desk for some of Bob Dylan‘s most iconic releases, has died after a long battle with cancer.

A statement released today by Columbia confirmed the news that DeVito has passed away after suffering with prostate cancer for 16 years.

Real Estate Unveil 2012 North American Tour

Real Estate have unveiled a series of US tour dates as they continue promotional duties for the 2011 album ‘Days‘.

The band are currently in the middle of a European tour which will continue in Barcelona tomorrow night (November 30th), and are due to perform a UK date at the London Scala on December 6th.
