British bands Coldplay, Elbow and Snow Patrol are among the acts confirmed to appear at a special fund-raising gig at the MEN Arena next month as part of the BBC‘s annual Children In Need charity event.

Pop superstar Lady Gaga will also appear at the show, which has been organised by Take That‘s Gary Barlow, who has outlined his delight at this year’s line-up.

“I’m so thrilled that these incredible artists are giving their time for such a special charity that is very close to my heart,” Barlow commented. “I can’t wait to see it all come together on November 17th, there are still some great acts we’re keeping up our sleeve to announce in the coming weeks and who knows, I might even sing a little something on the night too.”

The event will be broadcast on BBC One on November 17th, and is to be hosted by the not-at-all irritating Radio 1 pair Chris Moyles and Fearne Cotton.
