Emily Eavis: Glastonbury’s Special Guests Are ‘Potential Headliners’

emily eavis gal glastonburyGlastonbury festival co-organiser Emily Eavis has been teasing fans ahead of the official start of the 41st event on Friday, claiming special guests booked to perform on the Park Stage this year could easily have headlined.

“I swear I have heard every rumour – even that Led Zeppelin are playing!” she told NME. “We do have a special guest on the Park Stage that’s a really big thing for us. It’s a band who could potentially be headlining. I don’t want to big it up too much or we might have to close the field again!”

“It’s good to have a few surprises. We’ll have them all over the weekend. So many rumours are spread while the festival is on that everybody gets into a panic. If you listen to them, there isn’t a band who isn’t on the list, whether it’s Cliff Richard or Eric Clapton!”

The bands definitely headlining Glastonbury’s two main stages over the course of this weekend will be U2, Coldplay, Beyonce, Primal Scream, The Chemical Brothers and Queens Of The Stone Age.
