The Kooks have announced the details of their low key UK tour, due to begin later this month, after offering fans the opportunity to suggest their preferred venues.
The six-date tour will begin at Liverpool’s St Luke’s Church on May 19th, with dates in Inverness, Hartlepool, Great Yarmouth and London following before a show at Newquay Lusty Glaze Beach on May 28th closing the jaunt.
The Kooks could use the tour to showcase new material from their forthcoming new album, which has been recorded with Beck cohort Tony Hoffer. At the end of March, it was announced via Facebook work on new material had been completed.
The record will be the Brighton-based band’s first since 2008’s ‘Konk‘, which hit the top spot in the UK upon its release in the April of that year.
