The Killers will each perform short solo pieces during their scheduled headline appearance at this summer’s Hard Rock Calling event, reports the Daily Star newspaper.
After entering a hiatus at the beginning of last year, frontman Brandon Flowers launched his own solo career with the release of debut album ‘Flamingo‘ in September 2010, while drummer Ronnie Vannucci is also set to venture out on his own when ‘Big Talk‘ hits the shelves in July.
Now, those reliable folks at the Daily Star claim the band will use the Hard Rock gig as an opportunity to showcase their own individual talents side-by-side.
“The boys will probably have a song each,” a ‘source’ told the paper. “Ronnie’s got his new album coming out soon and he’s got a really great voice. But whatever Dave does I’m sure it will be something a little weirder, though.”
Hard Rock Calling will take place over the weekend of June 24th-26th, with Rod Stewart and Bon Jovi joining The Killers at the top of the bill.
