Liam Gallagher Will ‘Never Go To Glastonbury Again’

Beady Eye frontman Liam Gallagher has said he will never play the Glastonbury festival again, and criticised the legendary event’s sound and clientèle.

Quoted in the News Of The World tabloid yesterday (May 8th), Gallagher said: “The sound is shit and really quiet, and now it’s like Bond Street with mud, with loads of celebrities walking around in their boots and umbrellas. I’m not having it.”

Gallagher has performed at the Worthy Farm bash three times in the past with Oasis – making his debut there in 1994, followed by headline performances in 1995, when the band were famously joined on stage by popstar Robbie Williams, and 2004, when they received a largely lukewarm response after an unusually tepid performance on the Pyramid Stage that year.

While Glastonbury may not be on the agenda, Beady Eye are set for a number of European festival appearances this summer, including spots at the T In The Park, Isle Of Wight and Reading/Leeds festivals.
