Bon Iver have released details of a UK tour scheduled to begin in October, as they gear up for the release of their self-titled second album next month.
The band, led principally by singer-songwriter Justin Vernon, will start the tour at the Manchester Apollo on October 19th, and will visit Edinburgh, London, Birmingham and Leeds before closing at the Bristol Colston Hall on November 11th.
The eponymous second album is due for release June 20th, with first single ‘Calgary‘ following on July 4th. The track is currently streaming at Boniver.org.
The record is the follow up to the hugely successful 2008 debut ‘For Emma, Forever Ago‘. Issued in the UK that May, the record became one of the year’s most acclaimed releases, being named as the Observer Music Monthly‘s Album Of The Year. and making appearances on virtually every other publications’ 2008 retrospectives.
