On Wednesday rock legends Eddie Vedder from Pearl Jam and Foo Fighters Dave Grohl and Pat Smear surprised fans during an encore at a Mike Watt and The Missingmen’s gig in Seattle. The trio jumped on stage at the Triple Door venue and treated everyone to an extended jam of Watt’s 1995 track “Big Train“
Grohl played on the drums while Pat Smear and Vedder manned the guitars – Eddie added the vocals.
Mike Watt has been playing the bass for the reunited Stooges for the past year and is also co founder of American punk rockers Minutemen, dos and fIREHOUSE. Pat Smear used to perform live with Grohl during the end of Nirvana’s career in the early 90′s. He also rejoined the Foo Fighters in the studio for the recent recording of the “Wasting Light” album after a break between 1997′s album “The Colour and the Shape” and rejoining the band for live performances in 2006.
