Simon Neil: 16 Tracks Ready For New Biffy Clyro Album

biffyBiffy Clyro now have 16 new tracks written for their new album, according to the band’s frontman Simon Neil.

Neil told XFM back in November the Scottish group had begun work on the follow up to the hugely successful ‘Only Revolutions‘, and now he has outlined the progress and form those new tracks are taking on to BBC 6Music.

“We’re always going to be a rock band, it’s always going to be heavy, but hopefully just bring different elements, it’s going to sound like Biffy, it’s not going to be a reggae record put it that way,” he said.

Biffy Clyro enjoyed a large degree of mainstream exposure in 2010, thanks in no small part to the latest X Factor winner Matt Cardle choosing their track ‘Many of Horror‘ to spearhead the hit TV show’s annual assault on the traditional UK Christmas Number One.

A Facebook campaign launched to push Biffy’s original version to the summit resulted in a top 10 place over the festive season.
