The Strokes are to make their long awaited comeback single ‘Under Cover Of Darkness‘ available as a free download from tomorrow (Feb 9th).
The new track, of which a 30 second clip appeared online last week, can be downloaded from their official website, and will also be released to radio on the same day. The single will then be issued as a digital download from iTunes on February 15th.
‘Under Cover Of Darkness‘ is the first track to be taken from The Strokes’ fourth album ‘Angles‘, the band’s first since 2006’s ‘First Impressions Of Earth‘.
Recording sessions have been hit with delays since the band declared their intention to have a new record on the shelves last year. In the end, only one track has survived from early sessions with Joe Chiccarelli, the rest have been produced by the band themselves.
‘Angles‘ is due for release in the UK on March 21st, and a day later in the US.
