Muse, Arcade Fire To Perform At 2011 Grammy Awards

muse300British rock band Muse and acclaimed songwriter Janelle Monae are amongst the latest acts ready to perform at this year’s Grammy Awards.

Usher, Justin Bieber and Bruno Mars are also due to appear at the ceremony, while the likes of Arcade Fire, Cee Lo Green, Eminem and Katy Perry were confirmed for the event last week.

UK acts Florence & The Machine and Mumford & Sons both received a nomination in the Best New Artist category for the 2011 Grammys, in what is otherwise a barren year on the marquee list of awards for rock acts. Only Arcade Fire, who’s third studio LP ‘The Suburbs‘ is up for Album Of The Year, join Florence and Mumford & Sons on the main rundown.

Arcade Fire’s fellow performers Muse dominate the rock categories, with nominations in the Best Rock Duo or Group, Best Rock Song, and Best Rock Album for ‘The Resistance‘.

The Grammys will be shown in the US on the CBS network on February 13th.
