Kings Of Leon Debut New Songs At Hyde Park Show

Kings Of Leon

Kings Of Leon further cemented their growing status as one of the UK’s most popular rock bands last night with a sell-out gig in front of 60,000 fans at London’s Hyde Park.

The US group played a career-spanning set which also featured a clutch of new songs including ‘Immortal‘ and ‘Radioactive‘, and a cover of the Pixies’ track ‘Where Is My Mind‘. Support for the headline show came from The Features, The Whigs, The Drums and The Black Keys, who payed tribute to Kings Of Leon at the end of their set, saying: “Thank you so much for putting up with us here. I’d like to thank our good friends the Kings Of Leon for letting us play.”

Towards the end of Kings Of Leon’s set, frontman Caleb Followill thanked the fans, saying the show would be one he would never forget. “It’s been one of the greatest experiences of my life,” he remarked. “Thank you all very much. One of these days, when we’re all fat and bald, or balder, and we’re sitting in Tennessee telling all our kids about all the great things that happened to us, this is gonna be one of those.”
