UK Indie Charts For 9th May

Acclaimed US rockers The Hold Steady are number one in this week’s UK Indie Album chart with their fifth studio LP ‘Heaven Is Whenever‘. There are five other new entries in the Album chart, with experimental producer Flying Lotus debuting at #3 with his third album ‘Cosmogramma‘, while eclectic British blues act Alabama 3 land at #4 with their seventh record ‘Revolver Soul‘. American songwriter Steve Mason enters at #7, Status Quo veteran Francis Rossi is at #8 with his second solo album ‘One Step At a Time‘ and former Del Amitri member Justin Currie completes the new entries, coming in at #9.

Dance legends Faithless top the Indie Singles chart with ‘Not Going Home‘ and Dizzee Rascal retains two places in the top 10 with his tracks ‘Bonkers‘ and ‘Holiday‘. Come back tomorrow for all the details of this week’s regular UK Singles & Album charts,  as well as our UK Gig Guide.
