Former Oasis star Liam Gallagher has beaten the likes of Elvis Presley, Bono and Freddie Mercury to top Q Magazine’s recent poll to find the greatest frontman of all time.
In an interview with Q, Liam told the magazine he believed the title only deserved to go to him or Elvis Presley: “There is Elvis and me. I couldn’t say which of the two is best,” he said. When asked what be believes makes a good frontman, he replied: “Behaving yourself and not jumping round like a bitch.”
Kasabian frontman Tom Meighan, who himself came in at #19 on the poll, concurred with the result: “Chris Martin is all right if you’re 35 and feeling sad that your mortgage repayments have gone up but Liam is the voice you want if you’re you and free and up for anything.”
Liam is currently busy promoting his clothing range Pretty Green, and is working with his ex-Oasis bandmates on new material. A new single is rumoured to be pencilled in for October.
