Lily Allen Confirms 1 to 2 Year Break From Music

lilly-allen-1Lily Allen has confirmed that she is focusing on other projects and will take “one or two years off from recording and performing music” .

Allen plans to setup her own fashion shop with her sister, start a record label and enjoy some time in the home she built for herself.

“I’m going to get into signing new bands, but at a really early level,” Allen explained. “I don’t want to compete with other record companies, but I want to support new artists.”

“My last gig is my Dizzee Rascal concert at the O2 (London) in March. That’s the last thing I’ve got planned,” she told Radio 1.

“I’m just going to concentrate on doing some behind the scenes sort of stuff.”

Lily also confirmed that after stepping down from the illegal downloading debate earlier in the year she had avoided computers completely.

Allen released new single ‘Who’d Have Known’ on Monday.
