Kasabian To Headline 2010 T In The Park

kasabian_tomThe make-up of next summer’s UK festival season is now beginning to take shape after T In The Park followed announcements by Glastonbury and Isle Of Wight by confirming Kasabian as one of their headliners for the 2010 event.

The Leicester-based band, who have enjoyed a hugely successful 2009 after the release of ‘West Ryder Pauper Lunatic Asylum‘, have often spoken of their love of the Scottish festival, and declared themselves delighted to be topping the bill next year: “T In The Park holds a special place in our hearts,” said frontman Tom Meighan. “We’ve always said how much we’d love to headline it and now we are. We can’t wait, we’re going to play a blinder and it’s going to be massive for us and for the crowd.”

Festival organiser Geoff Ellis also praised the booking: “I’m chuffed to bits that we can announce one of our headliners this early on,” he said. “Kasabian blow me away every time I see them and they’re going to be amazing headliners. We’ve had lots of fans tell us they want to see Kasabian headline T In The Park so it’s great to be able to give them an early Christmas present!”

Kasabian join other confirmed headliners U2 (Glastonbury) and The Strokes (Isle Of Wight) who will be performing over the course of the summer.
