Black Sabbath have posted footage of their final ever performance of Paranoid at their final ever gig.
The last show of the band’s long, influential career took place on Saturday night back where it all started in Birmingham, the end of a UK tour which has also rounded off a hugely successful return for Ozzy Osbourne and the band after the release of 13 in 2013.
Speaking to Nola.com last year, Osbourne revealed plans had been in place for one last studio album too, but they had instead decided to ‘opt out’ before anymore recordings could be undertaken.
“In December, I’ll be 68 and I think it’s time to call it the end of the day,” he said. “I’m not saying I won’t get on stage with Geezer or Tony or any of them some time, but officially we’re going to be done.”
