Just a short time after their ‘Blood I Bled‘ EP, The Staves have confirmed a second full length album will be released in February next year.
The album emerged from breezy recording sessions in Wisconsin with Bon Iver mainman Justin Vernon, whom the trio supported on tour in 2013. “There was no plan to make a record there, or even demo anything,” a statement explains.
“It was initially just to hang out and play some music with Justin. There was no pressure at all, we didn’t even tell our label we were going.”
‘If I Was’ did emerge from those session though, and will be out on February 2nd.
