The Pogues are celebrating 40 years of their second studio album.

The Pogues have added North American dates to their Rum, Sodomy And The Lash anniversary touring.

After Spider Stacy, Jem Finer and James Fearnley played similar gigs last year with special guests upon debut LP Red Roses For Me’s same milestone, more UK shows are booked next month and are now set to be followed by a US and Canadian leg in September.

And more of those irrepressible drinking, rabble rousing anthems courtesy of ‘The Sick Bed of Cúchulainn‘ and ‘Sally MacLennane‘. In between it all the ‘Poguetry In Motion‘ EP, MacGowan tugging at heartstrings on ‘A Rainy Night In Soho‘ and ripping yarns from a hedonistic family mourning on ‘The Body Of An American‘.
